F4U-5 75% Version 4 - Model Scale Development
Development Begins as soon as I got home from AirVenture 2022, I went to work on the (MS) Model Scale.
6-Nov-2022, Time spent on stringers so I can be sure the alignment is correct. I found several Issue around the cockpit and it looks Like I will need to re-cut the center ribs again.
Oct-2022 has been good. Most of the fuselage parts seem to be perfect now, but when I put the front half onto the alignment spare with the aft section, I had a mess! Back to the drawing board computer!
10-Oct-2022 – New design is ready to cut. I dropped the Alignment Spar down further than I would have liked. Should have picture later tonight.
Model – Improvements to the forward alignment-box to make it stronger.
Fitting the ribs and found the 7th rib is really wrong. Going back to the CAD to figure out what is wrong
August 2022, was spent at the computer, but the end of August and September I spent cutting and fitting parts into the Alignment spine.
