F4U-V3, Assembly-Update1

The assembly took a few hours.   The Horizontal Stabilizer went in easy.  Getting the tail fin in and aligned was not so easy.  On an American engine the tail fin is offset from the body to compensate for the torque.  Because I am using an engine with 100 horsepower more than needed for a homebuilt, I will need to put in the torque offset also.   However, the MP14 spins the opposite direction, so the offset has to be in the opposite direction.

Also notice the bottom has no more flat spots.  However when I roll the model, you can see an anomaly starting at the Instrument panel bulkhead.   To fix this means I will have rip apart the body model yet again.  Oh well, that is what rule 1 is all about.  However, enough of this area  may get removed when the wings are added.   However, I do not want to take that chance this is a problem and it costs me thousand in a mold re-make when it would only cost me an hour or two now, so I will for-sure invoke rule 1.

Rule 1: Never be afraid to start over no matter how small the issue is.

    1. Hi Michael, Thanks for inquiring about plans, but we are still in the development phase for the Corsair. The aircraft is intended to be a kit build and not a plans-built aircraft.
