I figured out how to fix the flat area on the bottom of the fuse. I notices the roundness into the cowling looks wrong, but when compared to the actual F4U 1A, it is fine. To cowling is straight so I am worried about something we would fix today, but during WWII, it was not an issue and it was easier for them to manufacture and more so, easier to repair.
The Assembly Model is going to be fun!
