What’s going on?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

Version 3 is not canceled, however I have lost steam.\u00a0 \u00a0The next steps to make Version 3 work is to start cutting in Foam with a 5 axis system that I do not have.\u00a0 \u00a0I do have access to one, but the distance to that machine is definitely an issue.\u00a0 So, until I can afford it, it’s on hold.<\/p>

I hate moving backward, but I once told a guy at Oshkosh:\u00a0 Rule 1 – Never be afraid to start over, and Rule 2 needs to be something like, sometimes you have to go backward to move forward.<\/p>

Remember, Version 2 is still sitting in the shop, so I could go back to it.\u00a0 \u00a0It is in a perfectly fine stopping point in development, so why can I not get my head around it and get going again?<\/p>

Well, I spent sometime looking over this monster frame and remembering what the issues where.\u00a0 \u00a0Oh yes, I forgot about this…\u00a0 oh that…\u00a0 oh yeah that…\u00a0 Then I realized why I really stopped.\u00a0 I have so many little things to overcome, I found myself in Development-Paralysis<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>

Moving On<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

I actually told myself that I was going to cut up the older fuselage to make room.\u00a0 \u00a0Suddenly, I felt good, really good.\u00a0 \u00a0Suddenly, I was going crazy with Inspiration.<\/p>

This time I could start over and avoid all the mistakes I have ever made.<\/p>

Why variant F4U-5?<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>

I have always said that there were three Variants I was interested in.\u00a0 \u00a0Version 1a, 5 and a little know Good Year experimental model.\u00a0 \u00a0It’s not time for the Good Year version so let’s go with the 5.<\/p>

What Scale:\u00a0 <\/strong><\/span><\/p>

Scaling will be slightly smaller.\u00a0 \u00a0I will determine (FS) Final Scale as the chosen engine looks like it will be the Scarlet 9s from Verner.\u00a0 \u00a0The Verner dealer was really tugging at my ear to build something for his engines.<\/p>

So that’s it!\u00a0 \u00a0The F4U-1a will be 75% and use the M-14, that’s not changing.\u00a0 \u00a0The new F4U-5 will use the Scarlett.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>
